North Glengarry man identified as victim in Tuesday night crash

MAXVILLE, Ontario – Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers attended the scene of a two vehicle collision at the intersection of County Rd. 20 and County Rd. 24, North Glengarry Township.

Preliminary investigation has indicated that at approximately 5:13 p.m. on Oct. 30,2018, a motorcycle was travelling Northbound on County Rd. 20 when, for reasons under investigation, a passenger vehicle travelling Southbound turned towards County Rd. 24 and collided with the northbound motorcycle.

The male driver Andrew Chisholm, 59, of North Glengarry, ON was pronounced deceased at scene.

The driver of the passenger vehicle was un-injured.

SD&G OPP continue to investigate the collision with the assistance of the OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI).

A section of County Road 20 and County Road 24, North Glengarry Township was closed to traffic but had since been re-opened.
