Victim of August ATV crash dies

SOUTH DUNDAS, Ontario – Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a single vehicle collision on Broken Second Rd. (between Marine Station Rd. and County Rd. 1 ), South Dundas Township.

Preliminary investigation has indicated that at approximately 12:13 a.m. on Aug. 17, 2018, an all-terrain vehicle was travelling eastbound on Broken Second Rd. when, for reasons under investigation, left the roadway and rolled over into the ditch. The three occupants were ejected from the all-terrain vehicle and taken to hospital. Two of the occupants were transported with serious injuries and the other occupant with life threatening injuries by Air ambulance.

 On Oct. 28, 2018 one of the passengers on the ATV, Jasmine Saunders, 18, was pronounced deceased from injuries sustained.

SD&G OPP with the assistance of OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI) continue the investigation and further information will be available at a later time.
