OPP arrest two for Canadian Tire thefts

SOUTH DUNDAS, Ontario – On Dec. 2, 2018, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a theft on County Rd. 2 in South Dundas Township.

Investigation indicated that culprit(s) entered a store (Canadian Tire) and removed various items.

On Dec. 7, 2018 members of SD&G OPP and Community Street Crime Unit arrested two males in connection with the theft.

Christopher McRoberts, 40, from North Dundas, Ontario and Randy Froats, 23, from South Dundas, Ontario were arrested and are charged with;

–             Fail to Comply with conditions of an Undertaking

–             Theft Under $5,000 (two counts)

Both males were held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
