PRESCOTT, Ontario – Hwy 401 is closed Westbound after a serious bus crash near Prescott.
Ontario’s emergency medical helicopter service Ornge, told Cornwall Seaway News that they were on the scene of a major accident on Hwy 401 near Prescott.
Joshua McNamara, Public Relations Officer with Ornge said that a bus carrying 30 to 40 people went off the highway into a ditch. He reported that no other vehicles are involved.
He could not confirm the status of any of the passengers.
There are multiple injuries being reported, with ambulance services being called in from as far away as Ottawa.
