INGLESIDE, Ontario – The group that supports the Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary, the Friends of the Sanctuary, are holding their second annual photo contest.

The contest is open to amateurs only from now until Sept. 1. Each entrant can submit two photos and both must be taken at the sanctuary.

“All photos must be taken at the Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary, and the “Friends of The Sanctuary” will have the right to use entrants in promotional material,” the Friends of the Sanctuary stated in a message to the media. “A panel of Directors will choose, print, and display the current top 10 photos at the Visitor Centre, with the final winner being chosen by the Board after Sept. 1, 2018.”

Any photos containing identifiable individuals must have that person’s permission to be accepted into the contest. Permission forms are available here.

Photos can be cropped and resized, but no other type of photo shopping is allowed and photos that are as close to their originals will be given more wait by the selection board.

All entries must include your name, address, date and location taken, and a phone number.

The winner will get a $50 gift certificate for Friends of The Sanctuary activities and merchandise.
