ONTARIO — On Monday, Aug. 6 at 2:03 p.m. Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the following areas:
Cornwall – Lancaster
Maxville – Alexandria
Morrisburg – Long Sault
Winchester – Newington
Thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon over portions of Southern Ontario.
Some of these thunderstorms will have the potential to produce wing gusts up to 90 km/h.
Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for thunderstorms that could produce large hail, damaging winds and torrential rainfall.
