CORNWALL, Ontario – A burglar was arrested by OPP Friday afternoon after cops descended on a home while a break-in was in progress.
Police had to close access to County Road 34 near Dunvegan in North Glengarry while they contained the scene.
Police said an occupant of the home found the burglar after the break-in and alerted police.
The OPP’s canine unit and emergency response team were involved in the incident.
The male was arrested at 5:30 p.m. and the road was re-opened shortly thereafter.
Police said they will release more information concerning the male who was arrested and charges soon.
