Robbery in Cornwall

CORNWALL, Ontario – It is alleged on Jan. 4, 2017 Joey Laurin, 20, and Daniel Legue, 22, demanded money and personal property from a man known to them all the while brandishing a bat, and a handgun. During this time Legue had covered his face with mask.

Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation both men were located by police, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. At the time of his arrest Legue was in possession of a knife and was charged accordingly.

Both men were charged with the following:

Joey Laurin:

  • -Robbery
  • -Carrying a concealed weapon
  • -Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • -Pointing a firearm
  • -Breach of recognizance for being in possession of a weapon
  •  

Daniel Legue:

  • -Robbery
  • -Carrying a concealed weapon
  • -Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • -Disguise with intent
  • -Breach of two probation orders
