SD&G – It’s going to be a messy mid-week across the Cornwall area, with heavy snow and freezing rain warnings issued by Environment Canada.
Forecasters said Monday that a low pressure system developing over the southern states will track northeast to reach southern Ontario, impacting the city and counties on Wednesday and Thursday.
The winter storm is expected to bring rain and significant snow, and possible freezing rain.
The locations of the heaviest snow and areas most likely to have freezing rain is uncertain at the time and will depend on the tracking of the low-pressure system, the special weather statement reads.
