CORNWALL, Ontario – Environment Canada has issued a Weather Warning for Cornwall and SD&G.
A low pressure system entering the area is expected to bring snow and freezing rain to Southern, Eastern Ontarion and Western Quebec.
The event is forecasted to begin around Tuesday evening and could continue into Wednesday morning depending on the direction of the low pressure system.
Environment Canada warns that snow and ice pellets can be expected before the freezing rain begins.
Hazardous driving conditions can be expected throughout Tuesday night and into the next day.
"Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surface," reads the warning on Environment Canada’s website.
