CORNWALL, Ontario – The United Way in partnership with Baxtroms Independent Grocer unvieled the annual United Way Celebration Sleigh on Thursday, Nov. 17.
The sleigh is packed with $5, 000 worth of prizes and will be on show until Dec. 16.
One lucky winner will be drawn to take home the lot at noon on Dec. 16.
This is the first year that Baxtroms has hosted the Celebration Sleigh and John Backstrom was on hand to help with the unveiling.
As were members of the Boys and Girls Club of Cornwall, who were helping to sell tickets.
Tickets are $3 a piece or $10 for a whole book. Tickets can be purchased at the United Way’s office at 405 Fourth Street West or at Baxtrom’s courtesy desk.
All of the fabulous prizes in the sleigh were donated by local individuals and businesses.
