South Stormont man facing additional sexual assault charges

SOUTH STORMONT, Ontario – As a result of a sexual assault investigation conducted by members of the Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police Crime Unit, a 48 year old male resident of South Stormont was arrested on June 6, 2019. Investigation indicated the male had sexually and physically touched several young females known to him.

The 48-year old male resident of South Stormont faces charges of:

– Sexual Assault (five counts)

– Sexual Exploitation (four counts)

– Assault (two counts)

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria court on July 10, 2019.

The above charges are in relation to incidents involving several young girls.

The name of the accused is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victims.

On July 8, 2019 SD&G OPP Crime unit laid additional charges following further investigation in which an additional victim came forward.

The 48-year old male resident of South Stormont faces charges of:

– Sexual Assault

– Sexual Exploitation

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria court on July 10, 2019.

The above charges are in relation to incidents involving several young girls.

The name of the accused is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victims.
