THREATS
CORNWALL, Ontario – A 14-year-old Long Sault youth was arrested on Nov. 19, 2016 and charged with threats. It is alleged the youth made a post on Facebook threatening to shoot up a local school. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
WARRANT
CORNWALL, Ontario – Sasha Colon, 26 of Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 18, 2016 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to attend for prints on Sept. 26, 2016 and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On Nov. 18, 2016 the woman was stopped at the Port of Entry and police were contacted. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court at a later date.
ASSAULT
CORNWALL, Ontario – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Nov. 19, 2016 and charged with assault. It is alleged on Nov. 19, 2016 the youth punched another youth while at a local school and police were contacted and to investigate. During the investigation the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
CORNWALL, Ontario – Jean Quenneville, 51 of Williamstown was arrested on Nov. 20, 2016 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on Nov. 20, 2016 the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of McConnell Avenue and Eleventh Street. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Dec. 1, 2016.
ASSAULT CAUSE BODILY HARM
CORNWALL, Ontario – A 32-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Nov. 20, 2016 and charged with assault cause bodily harm. It is alleged during an argument on Nov. 20, 2016 the man head bunted his girlfriend causing her to seek medical attention for her nose. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
