CORNWALL/SD&G – English public and Catholic school boards have added an extra Professional Activity day to this calendar year.
Upper Canada District School Board and Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario will be closing all of their schools across Cornwall and United Counties of SDG on Friday, April 15, 2016.
“School staff will be participating in professional development activities as mandated by the Ministry of Education,” the UCDSB stated on its website Thursday (Jan. 21).
The school boards are asking parents to get in touch with their local school for further details.
“The CDSBEO has added the day as a result of the recent labour deals reached with teachers, after talks this summer,” the board stated on its website Wednesday (Jan. 20).
