CORNWALL, Ontario – Make the most out of March break by participating in different events and activities across SD&G.

The following is a list of family-friendly March break activities offered in SD&G:

The Upper Canada Bird Sanctuary has daily snowshoe and ski rentals from 12 to 4 p.m., among other activities like:

  • March 14 at 10 a.m. – “Learn to paint with acrylics” for ages 6+, 10$ per child.
  • March 16 at 10:30 a.m. – “Be a junior Birder”, ages 5+, 5$ per child.
  • March 17 – Tagwi Secondary School will be holding a Maple Syrup demonstration
  • March 18 between 12-4 p.m. – Simple crafts to try, and take home.

The Summerstown Trails has full week rentals of skis and snowshoes for March break. Summerstown Trails is home to over 20kms of skiing and snowshoeing trails, 10kms of machine groomed bike trails, as well as numerous walking trails.

Cornwall is hosting a March Break Market on Saturday, March 19th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Cornwall Square. Visitors can take advantage of a tea bar, and a photobooth. There will also be comics, records, tarot card reading, and local makers and artisans on site to browse.

Additionally, the Big Ben Ski Hill, and the Cornwall Aquatic Centre will be hosting several different event, and activities this week.
