UNITED COUNTIES of SD&G, Ontario – The Townships of South Dundas, North Stormont and North Glengarry have all enacted burn bans.
South Dundas and North Stormont were the first local municipalities to enforce burn bans this year on July 31.
North Glengarry announced their burn ban on Aug. 5.
Both the South Nation Conservation Area and the Raisin Region Conservation Area, both of which cover the United Counties, state that the current ground waterlevels are normal.
Additionally, The Weather Network is calling from Wednesday, Aug. 7 to Saturday, Aug. 8. That being said, as of Aug. 6, the above municipalities have full burn bans in effect.
