NORTH STORMONT – SD&G OPP, acting on a citizen’s tip, arrested a man and woman in connection to a break-and-enter on MacDonald’s Groves Road on Tuesday.
Police were notified of a suspicious vehicle at about 8:38 a.m.
After a quick search, officers allegedly found personal items belonging to the owners of a nearby home, which were successfully returned, connecting the driver and passenger to a B&E. In addition, an undisclosed quantity of marijuana was found during the vehicle search.
Shawn Leblanc, 31, of The Nation, and Roxanne Boucher, 25, of Gatineau, Que., were charged with break-and-enter and possession of a controlled substance.
Leblanc was held in custody pending a bail hearing, while Boucher was released and scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on February 2.
