CORNWALL, Ontario – A Mississauga man who drove down Highway 401 in South Dundas Wednesday night will be making a return trip to the township in October to face drug trafficking charges.

After stopping a vehicle for a traffic violation on Highway 401 in South Dundas, Ontario Provincial Police netted five pounds of pot valued at $22,000.

Simon Amyotte, 30, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime.

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on October 28.
