UPDATE: Freezing rain warning from Environment Canada
Freezing rain is expected to start Tuesday evening and continue for several hours.

CORNWALL, Ontario -Environment Canada has issued a weather Warning for the Cornwall and SD&G area. Expect freezing rain and ice accumulation over an extended period.

The freezing rain is expected to start Monday evening and could continue into early Tuesday morning, however, a low pressure warm front is expected to be hot on the heals of the rain.

"A warm front is expected to move over Eastern Ontario tonight," the Environment Canada Warning reads. "Ahead of this warm front, freezing rain will begin this evening and could persist into early Tuesday as temperatures may take longer to rise above freezing mark. 5 to 10 mm ice accretion is possible."

"Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will become icy, slippery and hazardous," the Warning continues. "Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas. Ice build-up may cause tree branches to break."

Keep this in mind when driving Tuesday morning.
