CORNWALL, Ontario – The owner of a downtown gallery is facing police charges related to drug trafficking.
John Michael Logan, 59, owner of Logan’s Gallery on Second Street West, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine) and possession of property obtained by crime (cash), police said.
Also charged in the same incident is Jason Logan, 29. The individuals are related.
The arrests took place Feb. 19 via the Cornwall police street crime unit with an assist from the police emergency response team.
Cornwall police Const. Dan Cloutier would not get into specifics concerning the amount of drugs and cash seized.
“I cannot provide those details as per our policies,” he said.
None of the charges against the Logans have been proven in court.
Both men have been released from custody to appear in court at a later date.
There was no service at the number listed for Logan’s Gallery when Seaway News made attempts to contact the men for comment.
MORE CHARGES
In an unrelated incident Krysta Larose, 26 and Adam Beaudette, 29 both of Cornwall were arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, Possession of Oxycodone, Possession for the purpose of trafficking Oxycodone and Possession of Marijuana.
Beaudette was also charged with property obtained by crime (cash).
It is alleged that on Feb. 19 members of the Cornwall Street Crime Unit executed a drug warrant at a Brookdale Avenue address and located a quantity of Oxycodone, cocaine, marijuana and cash.
Both Larose and Beaudette were arrested, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.
