CORNWALL, Ontario – Social media lit up, quite literally, with imagery of a Cornwall car fire on the weekend.
Nicole Bissonnette shot some video of the fire blazing away within a vehicle on Ninth Street on Sunday evening at around 8 p.m.
It’s unclear if anyone was injured, or what sparked the fire, as there has been no official release from the Cornwall Fire Department or Cornwall police.
Firefighters had the blaze extinguished in short order, but the fire did draw a small crowd of onlookers.
Cornwall fire chief Pierre Voisine wasn’t immediately available for comment.
Bissonnette said a woman at one point was using a garden hose to help battle the flames before firefighters arrived.
