CORNWALL, Ontario – A splash pad in Williamstown that has sat dormant so far this year could be up and running by week’s end.
A fire at Paul Rozon Park in Williamstown in April took out the clubhouse on the property, and the adjacent splash pad has not been working since.
But the splash pad has since been hooked up to a new well and the startup and testing of the water treatment system will be completed this week.
The township said Tuesday it is optimistic that the splash pad will be open for public use by Friday.
South Glengarry has received quotes for the construction of the new clubhouse building and is hopeful that the construction will be completed by July 31 so that programming and activities can continue at the park.
