CORNWALL, Ontario – If you’re a kite-flyer today is your lucky day.
Environment Canada is predicting downright gusty conditions in the Cornwall area Thursday, with winds blowing between 30 and 50 km/h.
Some gusts could reach 80 km/h in the St. Lawrnce Valley, the weather agency said.
“These places will be monitored closely for a potential wind warning. The winds may be strong enough to cause some tree damage and local power outages, especially in areas where trees remain in partial to full leaf. Conditions will improve by Friday as the fall storm moves away into Northern Quebec,” said a statement.
