CORNWALL, Ontario – After a relatively mild October and November, expect to wake up to colder temperatures on Monday morning.
This winter is expected to be defined by cooler weather patterns thanks to an La Nina effect. La Nina is generated by cooler surface water temperatures in the Pacific that pushes cold fronts across North America West-to-East.
While Cornwall is expected to see temperatures as high as 15 degrees Celsius on Saturday, starting late Sunday night, temperatures will drop to the low single digits and will likely remain there.
Monday’s high is forecasted to be zero, with a low of minus 2 degrees.
Rain will begin on Sunday and turn into snow on Monday. No more than 5 to 10 centimeters is forecasted before Friday, Nov. 25.
