Woman attacks 61-year-old boyfriend with jar, fists

CORNWALL, Ont. – Cornwall police caught up with a 31-year-old woman wanted in connection to a vicious attack on her boyfriend.

Cornwall Community Police Service alleges during an argument on Wednesday (February 17), the accused struck the 61-year-old man with a jar, punched him, and threatened to damage his van.

The Cornwall woman was arrested on Wednesday (March 2) on the strength of a warrant after an officer spotted her near the 200 block of Pitt Street.

She was taken into custody and held for a bail hearing.

No names were provided to protect the victim’s identity.

A 31-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Wednesday in connection to multiple assaults on his common-law wife.

CCPS alleges during arguments between November 2015 and March 2, 2016, the man pushed and slapped the 30-year-old woman.

During the investigation, the accused was taken into custody after having damaged a coffee table and a door.

Man arrested for attacking girlfriend

A 24-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 2 and charged with assault.

CCPS alleges during an argument on February 21, the man pushed his 23-year-old girlfriend.

During their investigation, the man was taken into custody and held for a bail hearing.

No names were provided to protect the victim’s identity.

Breach charge

A 61-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 2 and charged with breach of recognizance for failing to report as directed.

CCPS alleges Daniel Ouellette failed to report on February 29 as directed and police were contacted to investigate.

The man was taken into custody and held for a bail hearing.
