ALEXANDRIA, Ontario – On April 30th, 2021 the Township of North Glengarry including the Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Counties have announce that the Glengarry Sports Palace (Home of the Alexandria Glens), has received some Funding from the Federal & Provincial Government to upgrade and renovate the Glengarry Sports Palace.

Due to this announcement the Glengarry Sports Palace will be closed during the 2021-2022 Hockey Season. With this announcement the Alexandria Glens will not be playing Home Games in Alexandria. The Glens will be temporarily moving to Maxville, Ontario at the Maxville & District Sports Complex located at 25 Fair Street.

“This is great news for the Team to get upgrades at our Home Rink. The Glengarry Sports Palace was our home for the past 44 years and will be miss during the 2021-2022 season, but we are happy that Maxville will be our temporary new home for the season. This is great for the Community of Alexandria as we are getting a new rink surface, Rink Board, new seating and getting a new Dressing Room.” said Glens General Manager Derick Viau.

The Glens will be returning to the newly renovated Glengarry Sports Palace during the 2022-2023 Season and Glens will be celebrating the 55th Anniversary of the Organization.
