Dan Allaire and David Murphy are ready to square off after their weigh-in at Shoeless Joes on Thursday

CORNWALL, Ontario – On Thursday night Dan Allaire and David Murphy weighed in at Shoeless Joes for their big fight this Saturday, May 6 at the NAV Centre.

As hosts of the event, 10 percent of the food and drink sold at Shoeless Joes during the weigh-in went to Champs Boxing.

Champs trained hometown boxing champ Tony Luis will be the only one standing between Allaire and Murphy during their fight as he’s agreed to be the referee and his father Jorge was the one who officially tracked the numbers at the weigh-in.

Dan Allaire came in at 311 and a half pounds, while David Murphy came in at 278 pounds. Murphy noted happily that he had lost 20 pounds since he started training for this fight.

Allaire and Murphy plan on going three rounds on Saturday all in support of the Children’s Treatment Centre.

In total there will be approximately seven fights that night.
