Archie’s Golf recently launched a summer long partnership with Boys and Girls Club Cornwall/SDG to deliver a fun golf experience to youth in our community. The program is led by 2 certified First Tee instructors, Pasquale Mongillo and Sam Campbell.

Carol Ann Baxter, Owner of Archie’s Family Golf Centre, is proud to be one of two courses offering this program in Easter Ontario. She feels their facility lends itself perfectly to this type of program and hopes to expand the program’s reach through partnerships with Akwesasne.

“We are excited with this very unique program designed not only to develop great young golfers but also great young people, providing both golf and life skills to help them succeed on the course, at home and at school,” shared Carol Ann Baxter, Owner of Archie’s Family Golf Centre, “We are especially excited to be delivering this program to kids who might otherwise not have the opportunity to experience the game of golf.”

Archie’s is amongst 30 golf sites across Canada selected to offer the RBC Community Junior Golf Initiative this summer, a partnership with Golf Canada to offer First Tee Canada and Youth on Course Programs.

“RBC Community Junior Golf has played a major role in the thriving growth of First Tee and Youth on Course across Canada,” said Kevin Blue, Chief Sport Officer, Golf Canada. “The initiative will continue to expand our reach in equity-deserving communities and provide more children with life-enhancing opportunities through golf.”

Participating locations are equipped with First Tee Canada programming, coaching, equipment, and support at no cost to the location or participants.
