BERLIN, New Hampshire — Anthony Mezzagno’s hat trick propelled the Cornwall Nationals to a 5-3 victory on Saturday night over the Berlin River Drivers.

With the victory, Cornwall (5-3-1) has now won three contests in a row and has moved into second place in the Federal Hockey League.

Lou Dickenson had a pair of goals for the Nationals, while Jason Dolgy and MJ Graham each chipped in a pair of assists.

Nicolas Delongchamps picked up the win in goal for Cornwall with a 35-save performance.

On Friday night in Danbury, Dolgy scored with 1:26 to play in the second period for the eventual game-winning goal as the Nationals held on for a 3-2 victory over the Titans.

Antonio Roumeliotis and Graham also scored for the Nationals.

Delongchamps was once again outstanding in goal for Cornwall, turning aside 41-of-43 shots to earn the victory. He was named the game’s first star.

Now, the Nationals are set to kick off December with a bang.

Cornwall has four games next week. The Nationals visit Berlin on Thursday (7 p.m.) and Watertown on Friday (7:30 p.m.) before coming home for a pair of weekend contests at the Civic Complex.
