CORNWALL, Ontario – A new slate of South Stormont’s sporting heroes will be enshrined this Saturday at the 2014 induction.

The South Stormont Sports Hall of Fame will welcome a mix of nine athletes and builders at the township’s community hall Sept. 20.

“The 2014 group of inductees offers a unique blend of both builders and athletes,” said Kristie Fetterly-Tate, president. “It’s also unique that as a group their athletic contributions have touched such a number of different sports.”

The Hall of Fame inductees include Ron Alguire, Bryan Barker, Gilles Crepeau, Harry de Wit, Eric MacDonald, Steve McGillis, Monsignor Michael J. O’Brien, Dave ‘Grumpy’ Smith, Dr. Henry ‘Hank’ Tamowski.

The Student Achievement award recipients include Parker Krol, Brittany Laplante, Emilie Lamarche, Robyn Campbell, Kebbie Brown, Carly McPhail.
