Cornwall, Ont – Thursday, June 2, 2022 – Martin Belanger –  Established in 2016, the Race for the Cure Sportsman Series returns to action this Sunday as Steve Morris from Tas Racing is backing up the points funds with the richest offer for the Sportsman division with $10,000 in points fund!

Last Sunday, the Next Level Home Improvement Sportsman offered a preview of what the 2022 season will look like, 31 cars started the 25-lap feature event and only 1 caution slowed the event, Cedric Gauvreau came in and captured his first win of the year at the speedway over Ryan Stabler and Robert Delormier.

The Race for the Cure Sportsman Series will have 4 events in 2022 with the initial one this Sunday evening then two races in July on the 10th and the 31st and the Series will end on September 4th with the champion being known. Ryan Stabler could join Shane Pecore and Johnathon Ferguson as multi-time champion with Pecore trying to get his third title in the Series.

With Stabler, Pecore, Gauvreau, Delormier, William Racine, Sam Charland, Gabriel Cyr, David Rogers, Gilles Godard, Tyler Givogue, Donovan Lussier, Justin Lalancette and many others, the talent pool is really deep for the 6th edition of the series.

The Farnham Ale Pro-Stock Series will share the spotlight with a 50-lap event. Last Sunday, an excellent field of 20 Pro-Stock gathered for round 1 of the Clyde Sligner Pro-Stock Series that Bruno Richard captured with a last lap pass over Bruno Cyr. We expect a similar field of cars with possibly a few additions for this coveted event.

The Picard Mobile Truck Repair 358-Modifieds, Fun Zone Party Inflatables Novice Sportsman and Belair and Sons Garage Mini-Stock will have a regular night of racing.
