CORNWALL, Ontario – From Friday, Nov. 24 to Sunday the 26, five regional swim teams will be converging on Cornwall to compete in the Snowflake Invitational hosted by the Cornwall Sea Lions.

The competition is open to swimmers age 6 to 18 and Sea Lions coach Sheila McNeil says that this is a great opportunity for those younger swimmers.

“Little ones of that age don’t usually get to compete in competitions so this gives them the chance to see what it is like,” she said.

So far the Sea Lions have 44 swimmers signed up to compete.

There are four competition categories, one for those under 10, then one for 11 to 12, 13 to 14 and 15 and over.

Each competition offers the chance for a swim team to get points. The top eight places in each category will get points for their team. At the end of the weekend, the team with the most points will win the Snowflake invitational.
