The Ontario 55+ Senior Games are back again after a 2 year break.
The local District 8 Doubles Tennis, Mens, Mixed and Ladies, are being held June 1st, 8th and 14th. There are 3 age categories, 55+, 65+ and 75+, and the games are open to all residents of SD&G, Prescott-Russell and Akwesasne.
The Competition is relaxed and friendly, so you do not have to be a pro to play.
You must register with the convenor at least 1 week in advance of the competition and the cost to register is $20, which allows you to enter as many OSGA activities as you would like.
Tennis has seen a resurgence with some great Canadian tennis players doing well in international competitions and during the pandemic it has been one of the safest sports to play. Contact Bill Swinden at bswinden1@cogeco.ca for more information.
