One arrested after drug bust on Prince Arthur

CORNWALL, Ontario – On March 20, 2019, members of the Cornwall Police Service Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police, executed a drug warrant at a Prince Arthur Street address. As a result of the warrant, a quantity of controlled substances were located, including crack cocaine, cocaine, methamphetamine pills, and codeine. Illicit cannabis (shatter) was also located, in addition to bear spray and a quantity of Canadian currency.

The seized drugs are estimated to be a street value of approximately $19,500.00.

As a result of the investigation, Jason Campbell, 32, of Augusta Township was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. He was charged with the following:

  • Possession of cocaine
  • Possession of methamphetamine
  • Possession of codeine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
  • Trafficking in cocaine
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon
  • Possession of illicit cannabis

The Cornwall Police Service is working diligently to reduce drug trafficking within the City of Cornwall and would like to remind residents about the dangers of using and selling illicit drugs.
