CORNWALL, Ontario – Juliette Labossière has been named as the new Executive Director of the United Way of SD&G.

Labossière will be heading the agency that helps to raise money and support 13 local agencies and 14 programs.

“I am incredibly proud to take on this leadership role within SD&G, and would like to thank the Board of Directors who have entrusted me with such an important role,” said Labossière. “For years I worked in the non-profit sector and can already see how many of the tasks I have done elsewhere will be easily transferred into this position. There is so much possibility in this community, and I am excited to be at the helm of an organization that can incite social change through collaborative community partnerships.”

As her first order of business, Labossière will be hosting the United Way’s annual Handbags for Heroes fundraiser at the Cornwall Civic Complex on Thursday, April 25.

“We are very pleased to have Juliette join our team and look forward to her leadership and guidance. Juliette brings years of experience in the not for profit sector to our organization. Raised in Cornwall, she is intimately aware of the needs that are present in our communities of SD&G,” said Andrew Donihee, Chair of the United Way of SD&G’s Board of Directors.
