CORNWALL, Ontario – The Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU) will be holding a pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Monday, July 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Benson Centre.

The clinic is going to be open to all residents of Cornwall, SD&G, and Akwesasne aged 12 and over.

“Vaccines will be given on a first come, first served basis. The EOHU encourages interested individuals to enter the parking lot via Second Street starting at 7:30 a.m. Wrist bands will be handed out to the people in line and individuals will be told at what time to return for their vaccine,” reads a statement from the EOHU.

Eligible residents can receive either their first or second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The clinic will be distributing doses of the Moderna and Pfizer versions of the vaccine although individuals aged 12 to 17 can only receive the Pfizer version.

Individuals receiving their second dose might not receive the same version of the vaccine as their first dose.

“Individuals who intend to receive a vaccine at a pop-up clinic are encouraged to complete the province’s COVID-19 self-assessment on the morning of the clinic and to have their result in hand when they are on site. The EOHU encourages the public to monitor its website and social media accounts before coming to the clinic as the health unit will indicate when all vaccines have been assigned,” the EOHU statement reads. “Residents from outside the EOHU’s area will not be accepted at the pop-up clinics and will be directed to book an appointment through the provincial vaccine booking system instead.”
