Posing for Paws 2017 raises $15,400

CORNWALL, Ontario – The Ontario SPCA for Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry would like to thank the Scotiabank in Alexandria for their continued support and generosity.

The Scotiabank presented a cheque to Christina Russell and Joshua Morgan who are volunteers for the annual Posing for Paws Fashion Show. Posing for Paws is a charity Fashion Show & Silent Auction in support of the OSPCA for SD&G and was held on October the 20th 2017. The Fashion show was presented by J&A Collision Centre and featured clothing and accessories from The Squire Shop, Echo Trends, Schulman’s Men’s & Ladies Clothing, TSC Stores Cornwall and Stella & Dot with Sarah Millar. The event featured over 100 silent auction items all donated by local businesses and supporters. 

This was the fifth year for the show and with the donation from The Scotiabank in Alexandria this year’s edition raised $15,400 for the local Animal Centre. The Ontario SPCA for SD&G would like to give a BIG Paws Up to all the volunteers who made the event possible: Oragnizers Christina Russell & Angie Savard, the store owners, the wonderful team at 104.5fm Fresh Radio, Cogeco Cornwall, Melanie Boileau of Melanie Photography, all 20 of the volunteer models, The Magic of David Jans, Farrah & Ashley of Mastercuts Cornwall, Lori Waldriff of Nourish, The Cornwall Nationals, all the people and businesses who donated to the silent auction, those who sponsored the event and the wonderful staff at the Best Western in Cornwall.
