Man charged with brandishing weapon at Cornwall Square

CORNWALL, Ontario – Johnathon Gauthier, 20, of Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 14, 2020 and charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. On Jan. 14, 2020, police were called to investigate a man allegedly brandishing a handgun at the Cornwall Square. Police attended and took the man into custody, identifying the weapon to be a BB gun. The man was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Feb. 13, 2020.

BREAK AND ENTER

CORNWALL, Ontario – Brandon Carriere, 19, of Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 14, 2020 and charged with break and enter. It is alleged in June 2019, the man attended a McConnell Ave. commercial building and caused damage inside of the building.  Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Jan. 14, 2020, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Feb. 25, 2020.

FAIL TO APPEAR PRINTS

CORNWALL, Ontario – Ashley Cope, 36, of Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 14, 2020 and charged with failing to appear for prints. It is alleged on November 18th, 2019, the woman failed to appear for prints and an investigation ensued. On Jan. 14, 2020, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Feb. 11, 2020.

SHOPLIFTING

CORNWALL, Ontario – Katlen Moore, 28, of Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 14, 2020 and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on January 9th, 2020, the woman attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Jan. 14, 2020, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Feb. 13, 2020.
