LONG SAULT, Ont. – If you’re planning a bonfire, think again.
Due to dry conditions, South Stormont Fire Services issued a burn ban as of today (Friday) for all open air fires and recreational fires until further notice – violations will result in fines of $150 per offence.
South Stormont is the latest township to institute a burn ban, following South Dundas.
SD&G has been dealing with dry conditions with no rain in the forecast until the weekend.
