CORNWALL, Ontario – A Cornwall home improvement store is holding a job fair this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to help fill 130 positions.
Lowe’s is looking to expand its operations by hiring 80 permanent positions as well as 50 seasonal positions, according to the city’s economic development office.
Show up early and bring an updated resume, with references.
Dozens of positions are up for grabs, including department managers, sales specialists, overnight stockers, loaders, cashiers, head cashiers, and customer service associates.
The job fair takes place at Ramada Cornwall at 805 Brookdale Avenue.
The schedule is as follows: Friday, Feb. 12 – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 13 – noon to 7 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 14 – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The new hardware/home improvement store will be located in the former Walmart operation on Brookdale Avenue. The Cornwall Lowe’s will have approximately 100,000 square feet of retail sales space, with an adjacent garden centre of approximately 13,000 square feet.
