CORNWALL, Ont. – Don’t be fooled by the date, Dr. Rachel Navaneelan wants to help you find your smile with Dentistry from the Heart.
Starting at 8 a.m. on Friday (April 1), she and her staff will treat patients on a first-come, first-serve basis, for free until 1 p.m.
Services will include extractions, fillings, and cleanings. Participants must be 18 or older.
“We want to give back to the community as an office – the entire staff,” said Dr. Navaneelan. “This is another way we can do that.”
Dentistry from the Heart is a worldwide non-profit organization dedicated to providing free dental care to those in need.
Navaneelan said last year during their inaugural edition dozens of patients lined up outside her office as early as 4:30 a.m.
“Now more than ever, I know there’s people out there that need my services, but have no means to afford them – whether they’re out of a job, or just don’t have dental insurance,” she said.
Before you jump at the chance for a cleaning on the house, please remember it’s designed for people who don’t have access to adequate dental care.
This event will take place at Dr. Rachel Navaneelan Family & Cosmetic Dentistry located at 525 Ninth Street East (Unit D) in Cornwall.
