Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry – The SDG Auxiliary Unit of the OPP is calling their recent food drive a stuffed success. 

On Saturday, Nov. 24, the annual OPP Stuff the Cruiser Food Drive raised a total of $3,905 in monetary donations and approximately 3,880 lbs in food donations.

The officers were excited to be a part of a generous day in local communities. All donations will be distributed to local food banks.

Approximately $600 and 850 lbs of food were collected at the Foodland in Ingleside for the Agape Centre. Winchester Foodland, Mike Dean’s in Chesterville and Valu-Mart in Morrisburg collectively raised $1,487 and 2,600 lbs of food for the Dundas County Food Bank. Chartrand’s Your Independent Grocer in Alexandria raised $1,818 and 430 lbs of food for Saint-Vincent De Paul (Glengarry).
