SOUTH STORMONT, Ontario – On Oct. 2, 2018, members of the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Emergency Response Team (ERT), Tactical Rescue Unit (TRU) and SD&G OPP officers executed a Criminal Code Search Warrant at a property on Eligh-Beckstead Rd., South Stormont Township.

This resulted in the seizure of a quantity of marijuana, cocaine and methamphetamine. Also recovered was a stolen 2015 Polaris 570 Side by Side ATV (Reported Sept. 26, 2018 being taken from a property on Hunter’s Rd., South Stormont Township).

A 27-year-old male fled the scene prior to police arrival.

On Oct. 9, 2018 SD&G OPP arrested and charged;

Scotty Summers, 27, of South Stormont Township

–             Possession of Property obtained by crime over $5,000

–             Possession of a controlled substance (four counts)

–             Fail to comply with conditions of a recognizance (five counts)

He was held in custody (bail) pending and appearance in Cornwall Court.
