Williamsburg is 15 minutes down the road from Dundas Manor Long-Term Care Home, but the residents could feel the love all the way up the highway on February 23rd and again on March 23rd.  The Independent Order of Oddfellows (IOOF) #349 Williamsburg Lodge members hosted two amazing events in support of the new home.

And the results are impressive! Lodge members recently presented a cheque for $10,000 to the WDMH Foundation!

On February 23rd, there was a Karaoke Night at the Lodge. Aspiring – and sometimes not so aspiring but very fun! – singers joined in. One month later, it was a sold-out crowd for the delicious Surf ‘n Turf night.

Each year, the Lodge’s Noble Grand chooses a charity for the event: “I chose Dundas Manor because we need the home in this area and someday any of us – or one of our family members – may need it,” noted Noble Grand WilliamLewis.

“Thank you to the IOOF #349 Williamsburg for two very entertaining nights in our community,” sums up Campaign Assistant Cindy Ault Peters. “We are so grateful to the many community groups who are stepping up and supportingthis important campaign.”
