SOUTH GLENGARRY, Ontario – On Sept. 20, 2019 at approximately 7:48 p.m., members of the SDG Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a home invasion on County Rd. 20 in South Glengarry Twp.

The investigation has revealed that three armed individuals broke into the residence and assaulted an adult male victim with a weapon. The suspects stole items from the house before fleeing the home in a vehicle.

Officers responding to the call located the vehicle a short distance away with the four suspects inside. The vehicle then failed to comply with the request to stop and continued on. The vehicle was stopped shortly thereafter in the area of County Rd. 18, South Glengarry Twp. Three adult males and one adult female were arrested at the location.

The male victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and has since been released.

Adult male Alan Vuong, 36, of Ottawa, ON was arrested and is charged with:

– Robbery with weapon

– Assault with weapon

– Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose

– Flight from Peace officer

– Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order

– Dangerous operation

– Possession of a controlled substance

Adult male Erba Beyecha, 29, of Ottawa, ON was arrested and is charged with:

– Robbery with weapon

– Assault with weapon

– Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose

– Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order

Adult male Ahmed Hifato, 30, of Ottawa, ON was arrested and is charged with:

– Robbery with weapon

– Assault with weapon

– Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose

– Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order

Adult female Hannan Daghar, 27, of Scarborough, ON was arrested and is charged with:

– Robbery with weapon

– Assault with weapon

– Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose

All four accused parties were held in custody (bail) and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
