SOUTH STORMONT, Ontario – O.P.P. announced at 3:50 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5 that Hwy 138 is closed between County Rd. 43 and County Rd. 18 following a collision.
Cst. Eric Ranger confirmed that a tractor trailer slid off the road and into the ditch. The tractor trailer rolled onto its side. The incident occurred before 3:20 p.m.
SDG O.P.P. and fire crews were on the scene. The driver of the tractor trailer did not sustain any injuries.
Cst. Ranger stated that the O.P.P. are still investigating the incident as there may be a possible leakage. The Ministry of Environment (MOE) has not been contacted at this time.
The duration of the road closure is unknown at this time.
