CORNWALL, Ontario – The first burst of winter following an unusually warm Christmas has tapered off, but not before leaving its mark on the area.
Environment Canada ended the winter storm warning for Cornwall and SD&G at around 4 p.m. on Tuesday (Dec. 29).
The region was blanketed with about 15 centimetres of snow in the overnight hours.
The weather agency is calling for light snow ending early this evening, giving way to cloudy skies with a 60 percent chance of flurries or freezing drizzle.
About 30 centimetres of snow is expected to fall.
