CORNWALL, Ontario – City administration offices closed Friday, December 22nd at 12 pm and will reopen on Tuesday, January 2nd.

Please take note of the following service changes during the holiday period:
Garbage & Recycling
There will be no garbage and recycling collection on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day. Collection for those days will be pushed back one day and for the remainder of the week. For concerns about missed collection during this period, residents are encouraged to contact HGC Management at (613) 936-6072.
The City Landfill site will be closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day.
Christmas tree collection takes place from January 8 to 12. Residents are asked to place their real trees at the curb on their regular collection day for pick up. Please note this collection is not for artificial trees.
Cornwall Transit
There will be no bus service on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day. Buses will be running on December 27, 28, 29, 30 and January 2. The Transit office will be open on December 27, 28 and January 2.
Aquatic Centre
The Aquatic Centre will be closed at 12 pm on December 24 and 31 and all day on Christmas and New Year’s Day. The Centre will be open on Boxing Day for a 2 pm – 3:25 pm leisure swim.
Benson Centre and Civic Complex
The Benson Centre and Civic Complex will both be closed at 12 pm on December 24 and 31 and all day on Christmas and New Year’s Day. Please visit www.Cornwall.ca/skating for holiday skate times.
Civic Complex Box Office
The Civic Complex Box Office will be open 2 hours prior to game time for the Colts game on December 21 and the Nationals games on December 22 and December 23. All games are 7:30 pm starts.
Cornwall Public Library
The Cornwall Public Library will be closed on December 24, 25, 26, 31 and January 1. The Library will be open on December 27, 28, 29 and 30 from 9:30 am to 5 pm.
