Former Colt signs NHL deal with Chicago
Former Cornwall Colts star Kyle Baun is a nominee for the prestigious 2015 Hobey Baker award

CORNWALL, Ontario – Former Cornwall Colts star forward Kyle Baun has signed a two year entry level agreement with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Baun spent the past three seasons playing at Colgate University where he collected 79 points in 113 games.  Before that, Baun spent two years as a member of the Colts (103 points in 98 games).

The 22 year old Baun was being touted as one of the top prized prospects from the US College ranks this season.

Detroit, Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg were said to be in the running to sign Baun, the grandson of Toronto Maple Leafs legend Bobby Baun. 

Baun joins the list of former Colts with NHL experience including Chad Kilger, Eric Meloche, Kent McDonell, Cam Barker, Yann Danis and Jesse Winchester.
