SEAWAY WINDS CONCERT BAND’S annual spring concert “To Mom With Love” will celebrate Mothers, both old and young, and bring back memories of those mothers no longer with us. Featuring some of Mom’s favourite tunes such as ‘The Wind Beneath My Wings’, ‘Five Foot Two’, music from Abba and from the swing era, plus more. This heartfelt concert is directed by Barb Hunter with guest soloist, Janet Timms. Friday, May 10, 7pm, at St. Felix de Valois Catholic Church, behind the Eastcourt Mall, tickets $20 adults, $10 students, children under 10 free. Tickets available from Band members and at the door.

CORNWALL & DISTRICT LABOUR COUNCIL is hosting What’s Really Happening in Education, a panel discussion featuring Ottawa MPP Chandra Pasma. May 1, 7 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, Cornwall. Everyone welcome.
